Gry Stene is an internationally recognised AI and innovation consultant, keynote speaker, and award-winning entrepreneur – affectionately known as ‘The Tech Whisperer’ for her neurospicy energy, bold advocacy for inclusion and belonging, and her ability to create real connection between people and technology. She is the creator of the rAIse IT right™ concept, helping leaders unlock AI as their most valuable growth asset and drive people-centred digital transformation.
With over 30 years at the intersection of technology, leadership, and transformation, Gry is a trusted bridge between business and tech. She guides leaders, teams and organisations to harness AI and digital transformation for practical, people-centred innovation, while supporting underestimated leaders to step into their strengths and drive change.
A champion for social change in tech, Gry is a mentor to women, migrants, and neurodivergent professionals, on a mission to inject humanity and radical empathy into every layer of business and innovation. Through her work with STEAM Engine Global and the IT Girls Rock movement, she’s inspired thousands of diverse people to show up, stand out, and lead confidently in the digital age.
Gry is the author of the forthcoming memoir-meets-thrivival-guide, Full Throttle & Torque: My Alien Roadtrip (launching late 2025), which explores the untapped value of difference, innovation, and belonging in work and life.
Gry holds a BSc (Hons) in Computation from UMIST (UK) and an MBA from the University of Western Australia. She has founded and scaled health tech and social enterprises, and advises private companies – from startups to global conglomerates – on future-ready strategy, inclusive teams, and responsible AI. Her work spans diverse industries including health, education, technology, and the not-for-profit space, and is grounded in deep cross-cultural understanding and international experience.
Driven by her values of diversity, innovation, and social development, Gry’s talks and workshops are renowned for their warmth, insight, and actionable impact. When not building bridges in tech, you’ll find her on the beach in Fremantle, sharing food with friends, or planning her next adventure.
In her rare moments of spare time, you’ll find Gry enjoying time at the beach with the dog near her home in Walyalup (Fremantle), Western Australia, enjoying food and wine with friends, live music and fulfilling an unending passion for travelling, living well and learning.
